ENPARK frequently hosts networking events for ENPARK-licensed companies with the objective of providing an opportunity for all to share their scope of operations, products and services with industry peers. ENPARK supports and organizes industry focused events like Solar Days and the ‘The Green Building’ series training workshops aimed at educating professionals, government employees and students on the science behind renewable energy applications. Building on the success of ‘The Green Building’ series, which brought together over 800 professionals and 200 thought leaders, ENPARK recently launched 'The Green Brunch' - a series of four events focusing on different aspects of the energy and environment industry. As part of its continuous support to the green building industry, Enpark co-hosted ‘Water Days’, an initiative focusing on education and training on ‘Sustainable Water Management’. In 2010 Enpark focused on 'Energy Efficiency', 'Green Retrofitting' for private and commercial space, 'Water and Waste Water’ and 'Solid Waste and Recycling Management'. Promoting Business Partner InitiativesEnpark constantly engages its Business Partners in pilot projects and public awareness campaigns in order to stimulate the growth of the industry. Examples vary from the Solar Street Lamps, an off-grid application provided by Enpark registered company PTL Solar and light disposal unit. Recently, ENPARK marked the United Nations’ World Environment Day (WED) 2010 with the launch of a light disposal unit, another product of an Enpark registered company Ecovar, to recycle the electric bulbs and lamps at TECOM Business Parks. Simultaneously, ENPARK also launched a one-month campaign encouraging companies and individuals to exchange conventional bulbs with energy efficient bulbs provided by Emirates Wildlife Society (EWS) in association with WWF (EWS-WWF), Enpark newly registered company. ENPARK won the ‘Company of the Year’ Award at the Alternative Energy Awards 2008 for its significant role in raising awareness about sustainability concepts in the region.
