affiliate, and this marks the official start of commercial operations
through Jebel Ali.
The Middle East hub is the newest addition to the global healthcare company
Roche thereby strengthening the company's presence in this very important
region.
"1st of July marks an important step in our investment into the Middle East
region as we now begin supply out of the Jebel Ali hub. The new management
centre here in Dubai is a sign of our commitment to support and strengthen
the healthcare sector in the region, which shows great potential for
growth," says Moritz Hartmann, General Manager, Roche Diagnostics Middle
East.
On July 9th, the go-live was marked by a reception attended by Her
Excellency Mrs. Andrea Reichin, the Swiss Ambassador to the UAE and Mr.
Talal al Hashimi, Managing Director, Economic Zones World.
The headquarter in Jebel Ali will supply 20 countries in the Middle East and
with a global product portfolio of more than 20.000 products, Roche
Diagnostics Middle East expects to process orders for more than 7 million
products per year, including diagnostic instruments, reagents and spare
parts for medical professionals, research laboratories and patients.
With the Regional Headquarter now in operations, the first step has been
taken towards improving the quality of supply and response time to customers
and distributors in the region, using the unique port and airport facilities
available in the Jebel Ali Free Zone.
The Regional Headquarter will further work to improve service infrastructure
through its capacities in marketing and technical support, management,
administration, logistics and quality control. |
